Insulation schemesIf you're renovating or building from new, we will be pleased to advise on the insulation scheme. A combination of good insulation and air-tightness can reduce the heat load of a building from 50w/m2 to 30w/m2 or even less. In practical terms, this might mean that for a 130m2 building, you go from a 6.5kW peak heat load to less than 4.0kW. By comparison, most semi-detached houses have a boiler of between 19kW and 25kW.If there is a good insulation scheme, it means you and we can be confident that the heating system will be specified correctly. |
